Search Engines Top Source of Information for SMBs

The 2007 "SMB State of the Union" study, released this week, reveals that 74 percent of SMB leaders list search engines as their main source of business information, narrowly edging out word of mouth.The study, conducted by Frank N. Magid Associates for AllBusiness.com, surveyed a national sample of more than 400 SMB leaders in the fall of 2007. Overall outlook was optimistic about business prospects for 2008, although slightly less so than in the past two surveys.

Other notable results included the fact that 78% of respondents took some kind of environmental action in the past year, and 60% are concerned about the falling value of the dollar.Reuters
