Mozilla has introduced a new extension for its Firefox browser that lets users read their e-mail, Twitter updates and RSS feeds in a single interface.Snowl -- actually a prototype Firefox extension for which the company is soliciting feedback -- provides two views for reading messages: a traditional three-pane list view, targeted to active reading of important messages, and a "river of news" view that displays messages in a Web page style. Snowl also lets users search messages without requiring them to organize them first, allowing for a more powerful service that's easier to navigate.

Mozilla eventually plans to enable Snowl to read text messages and other social networking forums. Snowl is can downloaded here.PC Pro, Big Mouth Media
