Global CIO: NetSuite Takes 10 Customers From Hairballs To Best Practices

The cloud-based apps provider honors 10 customers that have dislodged and dispensed ugly tangles of convoluted and undigestible enterprise apps.

Greatest Cost Reduction Since coughing up its multi-vendor hairball, Australia's Fresh Produce Group said it has been able to gain real-time visibility into all facets of its business: 18 months after moving to NetSuite, the company said, its net-profit margins have doubled and it has cut out $1 million in overhead.

Most Global Solution The Jollibee fast-food chain is based in Asia and operates almost 2,000 restaurants worldwide across multiple brands, subsidiaries, and divisions. While the company is using Oracle Financials at its headquarters in Manilla, it decided it would not afford to implement Oracle Financials across the globe. But Jollibee said that NetSuite's products were affordable and are now in use in North America, China, and Vietnam, providing single-instance views into the company's global operations in real time.

Best Enterprise Deployment Running almost 40 ERP instances across its 170 subsidiaries around the world, Campus Living Villages was unable to gain anything close to a single instance of its business operations. With NetSuite, the company said, it now has that real-time and consistent visibility.

Best Software Solution TradeCard provides a supply-chain collaboration platform for brands, retailers, and trading partners but internally was still stuck with a hodgepodge of products including Oracle, QuickBooks,, Lotus Notes and Excel. TradeCard said its consolidation effort has allowed it to integrate general ledgers supporting multiple currencies across the company's five global subsidiaries and gain greater transparency into customer profitability.

Best Manufacturing-Company Solution "The largest company yet to leave SAP for NetSuite" did so in a migration took just 86 days and allowed customer RedBuilt LLC to reduce relevant costs by $300,000 annually

Best E-Commerce Solution Online retailer Virtual stores "moved to NetSuite and finally put an end to a giant hairball that included Monster Commerce, Zen Cart, Volusion, StoneEdge, Pinnacle Cart, QuickBooks, Navision, Magento and Depotnet," the company said.

Best Wholesaler/Distributor Solution Ira Woods & Sons consolidated more than a dozen apps into one suite to cut costs and enhance customer service.

Best Services-Company Solution POSitive Technology consolidated for greater visibility and integrated processes.
