This is quite a lengthy discussion with Bill Lucchini, who is Vice President and General Manager of the Intuit Platform as a Service Group, but well worth watching as there is a lot of insight here. The day after Coghead literally went out of business, with no clear succession management for their clients, it is clear there is a business war of attrition going on in the PaaS space, as I wrote about on ZDNet yesterday.Intuit, as one of the larger players in the PaaS space, are well positioned to ramp up their position for the long haul, and this interview is a good discussion of the big picture in the real business world at this point in time.We discuss QuickBase and their associated platform partner and developer ecosystems, and the realities of small medium and large sized business adoption.I'd particularly like to thank Bill for taking the time to talk today as he and his family are expecting a child at any minute!Apologies for the little Skype hiccup at 6:30, must get my audio level up a bit for the next one...
