Interop Las Vegas starts its second day with workshops and a full slate of activities on the Expo floor.
Welcome to the second day of Interop Las Vegas 2015! We have a great lineup of workshops and other events, and the Expo floor opens this afternoon.
If you need to register, please go to Level 2 of the Mandalay Bay convention center. Our registration stations open at 7:00 am. Breakfast starts at 7:30 in the Conference Club, Lagoon J.
Today’s workshops, which start at 8:30 am, include both half-day and full-day options. Half-day workshops include Designing Infrastructure for Private Cloud, Network Automation With Ansible and Python, and Fearless Career Advancement in IT & the Myth of the Employment System.
You can also dive into full-day classes, including Cloud Applications: The Next Generation, and Integrating Risk and Security Into Your Organization’s DNA.
Our new roundtable series continues with informal sessions that are designed to spark conversation among attendees and allow peers to ask questions and share expertise.
Today’s roundtables include conversations on what’s working in infosec, network automation, and private vs. public clouds. The roundtables are held from 12:15 to 1:00 and include lunch. Please note, roundtable attendance requires registration.
Afternoon workshops kick off at 1:00 pm. Workshops include Creative Leadership, Internet of Things Summit, Practical Cloud Management, and The Next-Gen WLAN: An Enterprise Roadmap.
The Expo floor opens today at 2:00 pm, where hundreds of exhibitors are demoing their latest products. You can check out free Vendor Tech Session classes on the Expo floor, along with tours of the InteropNet NOC, SDN Lab demos, and InteropNet classes. While you’re on the Expo floor, you can participate in our brand new Virtual Design Master challenge. This fun contest challenges IT pros to come up with an innovative network design in rapid-fire design scenarios that feature unique requirements.
Located at booth 1007, the Virtual Design Master challenge will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Come by and check it out.
At 5:00 pm we feature Speed Networking, which pairs attendees with other IT pros in a series of mini-meetings. Partners are matched based on criteria they’ve selected. It’s a great way to connect with like-minded professionals, and it’s included with a paid conference pass. Registration is required.
The Best of Interop awards will be announced at 5:30 at the Interop Theater on the Expo floor. These awards recognize exhibitors making significant technical progress in nine categories, as well as a Best Startup and the Grand Award.
