It’s easy to talk about cloud computing, but it’s another thing entirely to embrace it. While cloud services emphasize ease of deployment and predictable operational costs, IT has grapple with a host of issues, including security, the ability to move corporate data in and out of a provider’s systems, and whether the cloud will put corporate IT out of business.
Join E2 Radio host Curt Franklin as he discusses the results of the Enterprise Cloud Adoption Survey, which was conducted by the Everest Group in partnership with Cloud Connect. Steve Wylie, General Manager of the Cloud Connect conference; and Jimit Arora, leader of Everest Group’s IT Services research practice, will share survey results and discuss real-world implications of cloud adoption.
For instance, more than three-quarters of respondents say IT has a critical role to play in cloud services, which punctures the notion that cloud adoption is a one-way ticket to IT irrelevance. The survey also shows that a majority of companies are making significant financial investment in cloud services, with 55% of respondents spending more than 10% of their technology spend on the cloud.
