Intel unveiled its next-generation processor for cell phones, PDAs, and other wireless devices last week. Code-named Bulverde, the chip contains features that will help devices capture higher-quality pictures, extend battery life, and improve performance. Intel also is stepping up its efforts to help programmers write apps for its Internet Exchange Architecture Network Processors with an expanded suite of tools based on the Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture and Intel IXA Software Development Kit 3.1.
