In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Hewlett-Packard has cancelled its inaugural Technology Forum that had been scheduled to be held in New Orleans Sept. 12-15. HP plans to reschedule the conference for later in the fall, with details expected by Sept. 9.
The HP Technology Forum was announced last year after HP disclosed that it would not participate in HP World, a conference sponsored by HP user groups. The HP Technology Forum was intended to unite the major user groups, customers, and partners of HP at a single show, instead of the multiple shows the company had participated in previously, the company said.
Mark Hurd, who was named president and chief executive of HP in March, was scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the forum.
