Freeshipping.com To Launch Online Marketplace For Small Businesses

Freeshipping.com LLC today unveiled plans for a business-to-business online marketplace where small companies will be able to purchase office products, PCs, and other goods and services.

The company, which has focused on the business-to-consumer market with an online shopping service for products ranging from CDs to hardware, is now targeting the growing market for business-to-business E-commerce.

The new site will offer price comparison and shopping services, letting users choose goods from a variety of vendors and service providers. Using proprietary technology and code, Freeshipping.com has agents that seek out online vendors offering products and services to small companies without charging shipping and handling fees. The information is then acquired by Freeshipping.com, catalogued, and refreshed periodically to keep it up to date. If a vendor changes prices on goods or services, that information is automatically updated in Freeshipping.com's databases.

Free shipping is a key incentive when small companies want to buy goods online, says DJ Vallauri, president and CEO of Freeshipping.com. "We have exclusive agreements with vendors who usually do charge those fees so that users can only get free shipping by purchasing products from those vendors through our site."

Freeshipping.com's new business-oriented Web site will be operational in mid-May. Use of the site will be free.
