Web Crossing, Inc., an enterprise collaboration software company, today introduced SiteCrossing, a hosted Web site service offering blogging and collaboration tools for individuals, as well as small- and medium-sized businesses.I met last week with the company's VP of sales, Michael Krieg, and Naomi Pearce of Pearce Communications to discuss the product and found quite a bit to like about it.

The main virtue of SiteCrossing is that it combines functions traditionally available in separate software packages (blogging, calendars, chat, message boards, etc.) in one simple hosted service. While I tend to prefer software like Moveable Type that needlessly complicates my life, SiteCrossing's all-in-one approach should appeal to those who sensibly avoid command line twiddling.
