Fabrik Releases Eco-Friendly External Storage With Online Backup

Fabrik's new SimpleTech [re]drive is made from aluminum and bamboo and includes Fabrik's backup software that also connects to the company's online backup service.The [re]drive also uses an Energy Star-certified power supply. On the performance side, it uses the company's "Turbo USB 2.0" interface, which the company claims is up to 25 percent faster than USB 2.0. It also includes virus protection that helps prevent the backup of malware.

The included backup software provides access to the company's online storage, which is free for up to 2 GB and $5/month for unlimited storage.
