Conjoin Inc. today introduced Field.First, a sales-force automation suite intended to improve the communication between sales and marketing groups and to make the sales force more effective.
The Conjoin applications expand beyond the conventional capabilities of sales-force automation software, which is primarily for helping salespeople track opportunities in the sales pipeline. Conjoin executives say Field.First is intended to ease typical sales tasks. The first two products in the suite are aimed at developing presentations and finding appropriate sales literature.
Presentation Builder lets salespeople enter information, such as client, vertical industry, competitors, and products, to create customized sales presentations based on reports and marketing literature published by other individuals within the company. Literature Cabinet helps salespeople retrieve sales information quickly in response to customer requests.
Conjoin CEO Nick d'Arbeloff says Field.First updates the intranets many companies have tried to build in recent years. "Most of these things were really nothing but glorified bulletin boards," he says. Field.First helps keep information fresh and relevant by giving materials expiration dates, letting salespeople rate the effectiveness of materials, and removing materials salespeople aren't using.
Conjoin customer Compaq says using Field.First has decreased sales-cycle times and ensured that sales reps are giving customers the right information.
Presentation Builder and Literature Cabinet are available immediately. Field.First starts at just less than $100,000.
