Compuware Corp. said today it has reached an agreement to acquire Data Processing Resources Corp., a $355 million IT services firm with 3,400 technology professionals.
DPRC, based in Irvine, Calif., provides support for application development projects and network management, help desk, and enterprise resource planning implementations. The acquisition beefs up Compuware's professional services staff to more than 10,000 and extends operations of the Farmington Hills, Mich., company into 27 cities in the Western, Southwestern, and Southeastern regions of the United States.
Compuware, a $1.1 billion software tools and services company, has made two other acquisitions this year. In February, it completed the acquisition of M.I.S. International Inc., an IT services firm with 400 professionals. And in May, Compuware announced it had reached agreement to acquire Reliant Data Systems, a developer of data migration software.
