More Workday bashing from Oracle
Oracle was once again on the Workday warpath during its last earnings conference call. According to Mark Hurd, Oracle signed up more Fusion ERP customers last quarter than Workday has signed up in the existence of the eight-year-old company. Mind you, Oracle is a $37-billion-annual-revenue, 37-year-old giant while Workday is a sub-$1 billion, eight-year-old startup. If Oracle isn't converting more PeopleSoft customers than Workday is scoring greenfield customers, then Oracle is loosing marketshare. E-Business Suite and JD Edwards are also Oracle legacy apps, but this isn't the customer base Workday is going after.
