Changepoint Corp. said today it will offer a hosted, Web-based version of its professional services management software, which it says will make it easier for IT departments and consulting firms to coordinate with contractors, clients, and partners. It is calling the new service myChangepoint.com.
According to the Toronto company, myChangepoint.com will let corporate IT managers give their contractors Internet access to a secure platform for providing progress updates and time and expense reports. In addition to monitoring project progress, myChangepoint.com can be used to track skills and performance, so managers know when a quality contractor is available for more work.
In addition to managing their own contractors, professional service organizations such as consulting firms can use myChangepoint.com to give clients access to invoices for review and approval and to update project status, the vendor says.
The product will be available in the first quarter of this year and will be priced using a percentage of transactions between contractors and buyers.
