CA Creates E-Commerce Division
Computer Associates launched a division yesterday thatspecializes in helping clients, suppliers, and partners getE-commerce and other Internet-based business applications upand running.
CA's interBiz Solutions unit aims to build real-timebusiness-management applications based on the same technologyused in its Unicenter TNG Framework. Known as BizWorks, thisframework uses Unicenter TNG, Jasmine, 3D visualization, andNeugents neural-networking agent technologies as a basis forboth intra- and inter-business communications.
InterBiz leverages the resources of five CA business units--Acacia Technologies, Accpac International, MK Group, Portico,and Prestige Software International--to build enterprisemanagement, financial, manufacturing, human resources, E-commerce, logistics, and supply-chain managementapplications. Reuven Battat, previously executive VP andgeneral manager of worldwide marketing at CA, will head thegroup as interBiz president.
