Open XML: One Step Closer to Standardization?

CNET

A group of international delegates today wrapped up a weeklong meeting that could help decide whether Microsoft's Open XML document format should become an international standard. The purpose of the Ballot Resolution Meeting, held in Geneva, was to iron out technical issues.
