Microsoft Corp. plans to release 10 security patches for Windows and two for Office on Tuesday as part of its monthly release cycle.
In addition, Microsoft plans to release on the same day an updated version of the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool on Windows Update, Microsoft Update, Windows Server Update Services and the Download Center.
On the fixes, the software maker said, "The highest maximum severity rating for these is critical." The update would be detectable using the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer, and the patches may require a restart.
Microsoft did not release any other details, but said it would host a webcast next week to address customer questions on the bulletins. The company has posted a separate page with webcast details.
