Hewlett-Packard Co. on Tuesday launched several products to help CIOs manage IT departments.

The software, unveiled at the HP Software Forum in Miami, included OpenView DecisionCenter, AssetCenter and Application Insight.

DecisionCenter aligns IT with changing business needs using impact analytics and "what if" simulation to model business services. AssetCenter automates the process of asset management, and Application Insight optimizes business services by providing visibility into the performance of all supporting applications and infrastructure components.

"By offering comprehensive analysis of how IT impacts the business -- from service availability and performance to actual financial impact -- HP OpenView software elevates the performance of IT in the business setting and the perception of IT in the business world," Todd DeLaughter, vice president and general manager for the OpenView Business Unit at HP, said in a statement.

The new products are available now. Pricing was not disclosed.
