I think it's a shame when people WANT to use data and analytics in innovative ways, but they're discouraged from doing so.  This is becoming less of a problem over time, however, egos and corporate cultures are difficult to change.

Well on the other hand they need to be innovative too. This will help them to represent data in a more meaningful way by having dashboards and etc.
