Prediction number 5 is of particular interst to me. As a scientist I routinely dealt with large sets of data and the resulting statistical number crunching. It's exciting to see that My sub-par coding abilities may no longer be a detriment to me using my skills to extract interesting data. However, the idea of just anyone being able to do it unnerves me. All I can think of is the first rule od statistics as told to me by my first professor. "There are white lies, damnedable lies, and then there are statistics, the worst of them all." In the hands of people that don't know what they are doing statistics from big data can be laughable, or in the hands of people who have an agenda, can be downright dangerous. I think as we finally get a handle on all this data coming in, it's going to be really interesting to see what people do with it.
