Elena Malykhina began her career at The Wall Street Journal, and her writing has appeared in various news media outlets, including Scientific American, Newsday, and the Associated Press. The U.S. Patent And Trademark Office has rejected all of NTP Inc.'s claims against Research In Motion Ltd., but it's not over yet. The battle lives on in the court system, and Research In Motion still faces possible injunctions that would stop it from selling BlackBerrys in the U.S.

One suggestion: instead of voice calls, send text messages. They'll most likely go through faster than voice calls and will help keep networks free for emergency personnel.
