Trevor O'Brien is Executive VP and Technology Director for advertising agency Deutsch LA, where he leads an in-house, creative technology team focused on the innovative use of emerging technologies. Over the past three years O'Brien's team, which now consists of 55 developers, has helped conceive, prototype, and launch work for Volkswagen, Taco Bell, Nintendo, Pop Secret, Dr Pepper, PlayStation, and HTC. The team's development work includes Perfect Popcorn, an app for Pop Secret that keeps popcorn from burning, and Volkswagen's SmileDrive, an app designed to make driving more social, developed with Google and Grow Interactive. Roughly half of Deutsch LA's 468 employees are devoted to digital.
