Chandra Krintz is a professor of computer science at the University of California at Santa Barbara and chief scientist of AppScale Systems Inc. AppScale is an open source cloud platform that is API-compatible with Google App Engine. She holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UC-San Diego and has researched programming language runtimes, operating systems, and distributed system techniques to enhance performance. Chandra is also an avid road cyclist.
