SAP To Bundle All-in-One Software With HP BladeSystem

At Sapphire 2008, its international customer conference, SAP announced plans to preinstall its Business All-in-One business management software on Hewlett-Packard's BladeSystem and ProLiant server technology.The combined preconfigured solution, targeted at midsize companies in the manufacturing, service and trade industries, integrates computing, networking, management, power and cooling, storage and data protection within a single enclosure that SAP says is easy to manage. "The combination of advanced HP BladeSystem technology with SAP Business All-in-One creates a simple, affordable and reliable solution that delivers high availability and performance at low costs," said Urs Renggli, HP's director of Worldwide Small and Midmarket Business, in a statement.

SAP's MaxDB database is also part of the offering, which will be based on SUSE Linux Enterprise from Novell.PR Newswire
