Rolling up all those acquisitions
When you look at the six components of Oracle CX above -- marketing, sales, service, commerce, social, configure-price-quote -- your head starts spinning when you realize how many acquisitions have gone into building this cloud. As we see above with the service cloud alone, you've got RightNow, Enquira and lots of little tuck-ins like LiveLook and TOA, that have all gone into the larger suite.
It must be immensly challenging for Oracle to integrate and develop all the bits and pieces that go into each compenent and the larger cloud offering. Then there's packaging, pricing, and marketing all this stuff. And when you realize that CX is just one piece of Oracle's total cloud picture, you realize what a gigantic operation your dealing with.
